Ciao!!!!
We’re in Venice !!! A Christmas gift from Eric…how nice ! We’ve been planning this stay for weeks, what we’ll do, where we’ll eat, how to not look like a lost tourist…..Well , all of that planning went out the door, partly because all our notes were saved on my computer (which is not with me) and the other part because it’s impossible not to look like a tourist here ! Venice though, to be honest…..absolutely gorgeous . Such an amazingly beautiful city. Today was our second full day here…..and when I say full, I mean full. Its practically a 9 to 5 job discovering all the nooks and canals of this city. We just got in from an exhausting, but rewarding day.
Yesterday we did Plazza San Marco, visited the Basilica and Doge Palace. Then we got lost, but I think that we hit every neighborhood in the city. Oh we also ran into the women from Real Housewives of New Jersey (They were looking for Chanel).
Today we got even more lost, but we did happen onto something I’ve been craving since my first trip to Italy like two years ago…..cioccolata calda….ok it’s Hot chocolate, but this isn’t your ordinary powdered hot chocolate….its like a melted chocolate bar or hot pudding….I can’t really describe it, but it is soooooo good! We also visited the island of Burano, which is famous for its colourful houses.
I will post the photos tomorrow because there are so many good ones and there are a lot, I want to take the time and pick the best for this blog.
